E-mail Print PDF

On August 20 the “Stronger Together” center’s inmates took part in the next training of the “Future Starts Today” cycle. Today’s lesson took a title “Freedom and Responsibility”. Kids were involved in discussion about very essential things in their lives. They were prompted to think about and answer the next questions: ‘Why freedom itself isn’t enough for our dreams to come true?’, ‘What means the notion of mature freedom of the adult?’, ‘What will be the image of your personal life’s liberty?’, ‘Does a thought of being free attract you?’, ‘What would you like to do freely?’, ‘What means mature responsible choice?’.

Freedom must be accompanied by responsibility to ourselves and other people. Mature freedom means responsibility for one’s own taken decisions. Inmature freedom is any other seeing of libertty which doesn’t mean taking a responsible choice.

Pedestrian Pilgrimage from Sambir to Zarvanytsia stiil goes on, though some of our staff have already come back and ready to speak on their impressions.

What propped you to go to the pilgrimage?

A.N. (Andriy Nykolyshyn): At first I didn’t actually know what I was going for. Just sought for new impressions. I wanted to see and feel what for people go here and what this trip can present me with. But on the second day I started to form my own idea I was going for. I realized that this pilgrimage is a chance for self-clearance, a chance to alter something inside for better, a chance to sacrifice time, powers and prayers for my closest people. I prayed for better fate of my relatives who work abroad, in particular my father and uncle. And also for the members of my family who have felt strongly what means family disconnection. What impressed me the most is that all the people say sincere prayers not for themselves as for  their close and the most precious people.
